(Venue: Istanbul TIM Maslak Show Center, Turkey) Okay Temiz Ritim Atolyesi is the first and the best rhythm school in Turkey leaded by acclaimed percussion artist and drummer Okay Temiz. Every year an annual concert is organized for Okay Temiz's birthday and different percussion artists from all over the world (including Mamady Keita, Adama Drame, Trilok Gurtu, Yamar Thiam, Carlo Rizzo, Stoyan Yankoulov, Elitsa Todorova ) come to play with Okay Temiz Ritim Atolyesi.

Abstract:
"Playing with microtiming is a remarkable feature of musical rhythm in the Western Sudan. Both African and Western musicians and musicologists have time and again wondered at the capability of Malian, Senegambian or Guinean drummers to excitingly place notes on, next to, apart from, or in between expected points of time. This musical practice results from a complex interaction of different factors. This concept holds that the equal pulse base underlying African and other dance-oriented music is often inflected according to regular and constant patterns. Jenbe drummers, in particular, make extensive use of a limited number of sophisticated inflection patterns to enrich their playing in a specific manner. This paper addresses the drummers' microtiming both as a system and as a practice in the context of professional festival music in Bamako." (full text) by Rainer Polak

Knjiga: Djembe, Method for Technical and Creative Development
U ne prevelikom izboru knjiga o djembeu nalazi se i ova knjiga sviranja djembea iz 2003.g. Autor Ivano Torre, prekusionist i skladatelj kreće od pretpostavke "Everyone can play the djembe!". Knjiga ne obrađuje kulturu Afrike i tradicionalne ritmove, ali je dobra ako želite unaprijediti svoju kreativnost i tehniku.

Novi prostor udruge Drum-ti-dam
Drum-ti-dam je pronašao novi prostor za sviranje, tečajeve, tulume, vježbanje, radionice, Magazinska 11. Prvi tulum je ovaj petak, 18.04.2008. u 19h, a nastavljaju se odmah i djembe tečajevi. Sretno s novim prostorom!

Glazbala su prije svega Slovenska narodna, ali i tradicionalna iz cijelog svijeta. Kar
akteristično je da se koriste samo domaći materijali i sva glazbala su unikatna. Na odličnim i kreativnim web stranicama Glasbila Korošec sve instrumente možete dobro vidjeti, ali i poslušati, trenutno 35 različitih instrumenata. Naravno da sve ovo ne bi na ovom portalu pisali i vidjeli, da g. Korošec ne izrađuje i djembe, naravno.

Oproštajni tulum od Voćarske
Nakon 6 godina udruga Drum-Ti-Dam mora iseliti iz prostora u kojem je većina nas prosvirala djembe i gdje je bilo odsvirano toliko dobrih ritmova.
